Today, at Techie Youth, I'm sad to say that I quit for the second time. I moved on from selling art and looked more into trading, buying, and selling stock. I think the business factor of a job interests me most, which is why I'm looking into salesman opportunities. Stock is interesting because numbers are constantly going up and down and the companies put their trust into the people and primarily their customers. I learned what stock is and why people buy and sell it. The world circulates through money. We would be nowhere without it. I haven't finished the stock section, but I look forward to learning more and more about it with the help of Techie Youth.
Today, at Techie Youth, I continued to learn how to sell art online. This time, not only did I go deeper into selling art tricks, but I looked at websites where I could possibly sell this art. There are online platforms as well as agencies that are willing to help promote your art if they like it. I've looked at places to submit art to and places to sell art to the outside world.
Today, at Techie Youth, I decided to move away from the entrepreneur class and move onto a smaller subject: Selling Art Online. I've always considered myself an artistic person, and I love painting and drawing- just expressing myself any way possible. Since entrepreneurship seemed to be like the road I wanted to go down, I wanted to see if art would suit me, so I checked out the class. Learning has been really productive so far and I've learned the best hacks and deals to make and sell my art. I haven't finished the class yet, but when I do, I hope to use this tricks to sell art.
Today, I continued on with the entrepreneurship class and learned about how to react with negative circumstances. How to bounce back may seem hard, but you can do anything you put your mind to. You can be the best version of yourself, but only if you try and be smart about the choices you make. I want to learn more about the class but it's a lot of work! Might give up! Ha!
Today, at Techie Youth, I further learned how to build a business and how to make your own slogan/ logo. There are generators and websites to help with building a business. Something important I learned is to never be afraid to ask for help. You can always turn to the internet because there are so many people with answers, and you can always ask people in your field who are welcome to help. Don't be afraid when it can help you succeed.
Today, at Techie Youth, I learned more about entrepenuership and how to successfully start a business. I learned about the ups and downs of a business and what to expect when starting one. You don't need to have a stable job to live out your dreams. You can start your own business and be your own boss, and even work your own times but only if you put your mind to it. You have to expect to have some failures sometimes, and you need to go in with knowledge on your field so you know what to expect. You need to be prepared. I want to start my own business someday, so this is very helpful. Thank you, Techie Youth.
Being an entrepreneur is about who you want to be and what you want to do. You have to identify your idea of success and what your goal is. Don't just follow everybody else because you can. Follow your dreams and achieve your goals. To be an entrepreneur, you have to put things into action. You can't just let the world pass you by. You have to take action.
Today, at Techie Youth, I learned how to live a life I want where I can have a job that makes me happy while also making a decent amount of money. I have to be smart and work to pursue my dreams, but I can have a fun time doing it along the way. Techie Youth opened my eyes to pursuing what I really want- an influence in social media. I want to be an influencer so I can travel the world without having the worry about money.
Today, I learned how to maximize cost when it comes to purchasing things. You can always choose to walk, but the tactic is to pretend to walk to get the price lower. You can use discounts and ask for add ins to up the value with the same cost, and you can get the best deal possible if you work it out correctly. I learned how to haggle in a smart way and know when I should fight for it or when I should just walk. Hopefully, I can use these tactics in the real world to gain more experience.
Today, at Techie Youth, I learned the steps to successfully work online and how to be comfortable in my space while also being productive. I learned what to should and should not expect, and how to work with people, even when it's not a face to face conversation. Techie Youth also taught me how to communicate properly and host meetings online that can be formal from the safety of our homes. I think this is really important because of the circumstance we live in now, with Covid, so this can help with our understandings of virtual life while still remaining business-like and serious.
I forgot to do yesterday's assignment, but I learned about building a portfolio on social media platforms to become a relevant social media figure, and I also learned how to become social media aware by making sure I follow the right accounts, like Techie Youth, and making sure to watch what I post or what gets posted about me. Today, I've been learning how to go into interviews and make a good impression. I've learned about how to build a resume and how to write a cover letter. You have to make sure you put in information that companies would like to see and you have to make sure the cover letter is meaningful and stands out. Not everyone will get the job first try, but a goal can be to get the interview at least, just to gain experience. Techie Youth is teaching me so much about the real world as well as the experience of working online.
